About Timeline Touring
Timeline Touring was founded by Jeffrey Altman. He is a graduate of the City's University System, a scion of New York City's legendary garment trade, and a life-long resident of New York's Jewish community.
Jeff wanted to share his pride for the Jewish neighborhoods of his hometown with others, but these communities are generally closed off to outsiders. Timeline Touring was established to open up this hitherto closed world to the outside. As Jeff says, "I want people to be able to experience the amazing area that I live in and near. It is filled with history, yet it breathes and is always changing. In New York City the Jewish people and heritage are very much alive."
Timeline Touring is for visitors and native New Yorkers who are not satisfied with the typical NYC tourist spots and want to gain access to the vast cultural expanse that is modern-day New York. On a Timeline Tour, people step back in time as they visit a way of life which they assumed had all but disappeared.
Visitors have discovered that the 'good old days' are indeed very much alive in 21st-century New York. Guests are brought into the places they visit, giving them a thorough understanding of the variety of unique people and cultural activities going on in the Big Apple.
Timeline Tours guarantees an experience that may change your life… and will definitely change the way you think about New York City.
Timeline Touring offers regularly scheduled public tours as well as customized private group tours.
Check available public tour dates and buy tickets online. Advance purchase is required as tours generally sell out well in advance.
